Our
Facilities

GREY RIVER boasts two modern lodges,
The Forks
(click for more photos) and
Salmon Brook seven miles apart on this spectacular river system. They are
almost identical, both being very spacious cedar log structures, each with two
full bathrooms, as well as five double occupancy bedrooms. Full-time cooks
are on staff armed with modern
fully equipped kitchens, who have earned the reputation of not merely satisfying
the appetites of our guests, but tend to give them just one more reason to
return. Despite the remoteness, both lodges offer hot and cold running
water, generated electricity with back-up generators, deep freezers, modern satellite telephone communications, and separate staff quarters .

Very generous
interior lounge quarters and exterior patio decking afford all guests ample
opportunity to relax and absorb the tremendous atmosphere present at the lodges.
All bedding, pillows and bath towels are also provided.
ROCKY RIDGE LODGE is located on the shore of
a large lake, and while it is not quite as luxurious as those at Grey River, it
is indeed very comfortable and boasts most of the conveniences associated with
any modern lodge. With a
capacity for four guests, there are full bathroom facilities with hot and
cold running water, double occupancy bedrooms, generated electricity, deep
freezers, mobile telephone communications, boats and outboard motors, as well as
separate guide quarters. A well stocked kitchen with a very capable cook
further compliments our services.

This facility, while being the oldest of our lodges has undergone a number of upgrades and renovations over the past 8-10 years, with the latest being the addition of a new bathroom on the guest quarters this past fall.
While the primary objective of most
previous guests at Rocky Ridge has been big game hunting,
wingshooting for
Ptarmigan (
our popular upland game bird ) is fast becoming the hidden gem at the
lodge. The area also offers tremendous hiking and some canoeing.
Limited fishing activity during our early bow hunting seasons has provided
action with landlocked salmon, locally called ounaniche.
CARIBOU LODGE was completed in the summer
of 2002 just in
time for the fall big game hunt. After 2 years in the planning,
with lodge design, site selection, the
required
political red tape and finally actual
construction, this facility has come through each hunting season in
flying colours, providing great comfort and excellent hunting atmosphere. It is located in the upper section of the Grey River
system in an area which had not previously been hunted.

This facility is a 40X24 foot insulated, wood framed with log
siding constructed building located on a lake of about 2 miles in total length.
Guests and guides are
under the same roof at opposite ends of the building
with a doored partition and each having their own entrance and full
bathroom. The lodge boasts a well stocked and equipped kitchen, with
full time cook, generated electrical power, satelite telephone, screened and
insulated meat storage facility, deep freezers, indoor plumbing, with hot
showers and 2 double occupancy bedrooms. Also provided are 2 boats
with oatboard motors and a canoe, which
are great aids in traveling the hunting
area. All bedding, pillows and bath towels are supplied at the
lodge.
We extend a warm welcome to couples and families, who will find our facilities well suited to pure relaxation and comfort in a pristine wilderness atmosphere.
